On the British Isle of Wight, a monument was unveiled on July 7, 2018, honoring the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II, his family, and Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, the founder of the Marfo-Mariinsky Convent in Moscow. The monument, shaped like a cross, was created by Russian sculptor Elena Bezborodova. The ceremony was attended by the Lord Lieutenant of the Isle of Wight, Major General Sir Martin White, and Russia's Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organization, Yuri Melinas. The monument was unveiled by Prince Rostislav Romanov, Deputy Chairman of the Association of Members of the Romanov Family.

Simultaneously with the unveiling of the monument, an exhibition titled "The Romanov Cross" was launched, dedicated to the last days of Nicholas II and his family, as well as their connections with the Windsor dynasty and mutual visits. The exhibition is taking place at Barton Manor, where the Romanovs visited in 1909. It features personal belongings, photographs, and items related to the Russian royal family, many of which are rarely displayed and are kept in private collections around the world.

The exhibition was organized by the Society of the Memory of Grand Duchess Elizabeth Romanova in the United Kingdom.
