It is located on the territory of the Kremlin, near the entrance by the Ivanov Tower. Established in 1976 in honor of the 755th anniversary of the founding of Nizhny Novgorod. The stone is engraved with the date of the city's founding and symbolic images of the first settlers. The inscription on the stone reads: "And they will place a city-stone at the mouth of the Oka River, and it is very strong, and enemy forces will not overcome it."
