A memorial in memory of the victims of the Battle of Tsushima

The Battle of Tsushima became one of the tragic pages in the history of the Russian Navy, during which the Second Pacific Squadron was lost. In memory of this event, a memorial was established in Kronstadt. The monument was unveiled on July 30, 2006, in Petrovsky Park, and its authors are Yeskov and Golubev.

The monument is a composition made of stone, featuring an anchor and a metal plate with an inscription. The plate is engraved with the words: "Eternal glory to the Russian sailors-heroes of the Battle of Tsushima." A second plaque, located on the stone, is dedicated to the outstanding naval commander and scientist Makarov, who perished on April 13, 1905, in the explosion of the battleship "Petropavlovsk."
