One of the most interesting monuments in Novorossiysk is the monument to sailors' wives, which was opened on August 24, 2010. This unique structure is probably the only one in Russia dedicated to those who always waited for their loved ones to return from sea voyages. The fate of sailors' wives, whether civilian or military, is not easy; they seem to become participants in all events related to their husbands' ships.
The sculpture, depicting a woman holding a child, is located on the Black Sea coast of the city and is made of iron painted to look like bronze. The height of the monument is 2.5 meters, and it was created by the renowned sculptor Suvorov. This monument attracts the attention of both tourists and locals. While walking along the shore, people often take photos next to it.
