The monument to Vasily Zavoyko symbolizes the restoration of historical justice and expresses respect for the first governor-general of Kamchatka. This man played a key role in the construction and development of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, establishing the first connections with neighboring villages and cities, as well as in the development of agriculture. He managed to defend the city in a challenging battle, preserving it for future generations.

The sculpture is made of granite and marble and reaches 7 meters in height, including the pedestal. The design of the monument was widely discussed with the residents of the region. Notably, this is the first sculptural depiction of Vasily Zavoyko in Kamchatka.

The monument was consecrated by Bishop Artemiy of Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka.
