Pyatigorsk is a true gem of the Caucasus, known for its mineral waters and healing muds. One of the most popular parts of the city is the "Tsvetnik" park. Here you can find the Central Drinking Gallery, the site of Lermontov's duel, Lermontov's museum house, the Proval, and several monuments. At the entrance to the drinking gallery stands an unusual monument dedicated to the doctors who discovered the Caucasian Mineral Waters. It is an unprocessed stone with a plaque: "To the pioneering doctors of the Caucasian Mineral Waters, Grateful descendants."
