Фото 1
In 2014, a bronze monument dedicated to the beloved folk figure Vladimir Vysotsky was installed in Rostov-on-Don. The funds for its creation were raised through public donations, initiated in 2008, as well as with the support of the Ivan Savvidi Charitable Foundation. The monument was created by the renowned Rostov sculptor Anatoly Sknarin, who won the project competition dedicated to the great actor.

The opening ceremony of the memorial took place on July 25, 2014, on the 34th anniversary of the poet's death, next to the House of Cinema on Pushkinskaya Street. The total height of the composition is 3.4 meters, of which 2.3 meters is the sculpture of the actor. The monument is made of bronze: Vysotsky is depicted standing on stage in a sweater and trousers, holding a guitar. To his right is a curtain, and according to another version, a lightning bolt, symbolizing the bright and short life of the poet. About 200 residents of the city attended the unveiling, some of whom had seen Vysotsky during his visits.
