One of the most famous landmarks on the territory of Mosfilm is the monument to Vasily Makarovich Shukshin, an outstanding actor, director, and writer. It is located on the lawn in front of the Mosfilm cinema concert museum and became one of the first monuments in Moscow.

The bronze sculpture is a smaller copy of the famous monument in the village of Srostki, Shukshin's homeland. Vasily Makarovich is depicted sitting on the ground in simple clothing, barefoot, with his arms crossed. His squinting gaze is directed into the distance. The sculpture is mounted on a low stone pedestal, which has a plaque with the inscription:

"Shukshin Vasily Makarovich. Writer, director, actor."
