The monument, crafted with a portrait likeness, depicts Shukhov in his characteristic working attire: holding rolls of blueprints and a ruler. The bronze figure of the engineer is dressed in a suit, over which a coat is draped. The pedestal, also made of bronze, impresses with numerous small details: it is shaped like a truncated hyperboloid structure, three sides of which are adorned with a vertical frieze featuring relief images of various buildings and structures created according to Shukhov's designs, set against a technical background. Here, one can see images of the Shukhov Tower, Kyiv Railway Station, GUM, bridges, a cracking unit, a pipeline, and oil rigs.

Surrounding the monument are four stylized bronze benches: two are designed as split logs with tools (an anvil, a vise, a hammer), one depicts a stylized ancient aqueduct, and another is shaped like a structure made from an inverted bridge arch, wheels, and gears.

The authors of the monument are sculptors Salavat and Sergey Shcherbakov. The sponsor for the creation of the monument was the oil company Lukoil.

Interestingly, the figure of the famous engineer was modeled by his great-grandson, Vladimir F. Shukhov. The location of the sculpture was chosen deliberately: Shukhov lived for a long time in a house at the intersection of Myasnitskaya Street and the Boulevard Ring, and the main building of Lukoil is also located here.

The monument to Vladimir Shukhov is situated at the end of Sretenka Boulevard, near Turgenev Square. It can be reached on foot from the metro stations "Sretenka Boulevard" on the Lyublinsko-Dmitrovskaya line, "Turgenevskaya" on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line, and "Chistye Prudy" on the Sokolnicheskaya line.
