On December 15, 2010, a monument to the Temernik Customs was unveiled on the embankment of Rostov, becoming one of three monuments dedicated to the founding of the city and its early stages. The opening was a solemn event and coincided with the celebration of another city day.

The bronze monument was created by the renowned sculptor Sergey Oleshnya. It stands 2 meters and 20 centimeters tall, and the manufacturing process took more than seven months.

The sculpture depicts a customs officer holding the Trade Charter of 1731, as well as other documents regulating the work of the customs. Thanks to consultations with historians, the monument is executed with high accuracy and fully corresponds to the era.

In winter 2017, the monument was partially damaged as a result of a traffic accident, but it has since been restored to its original condition.
