Monument to Tatischev

Фото 1
The monument to V. N. Tatischev was laid in 2001 at the initiative of the administration of Perm, which responded to public requests. In 2001 and 2002, a three-stage competition was held for the best monument design, which was won by Perm sculptor A. A. Kovrizhkin. Architect S. I. Tarasov also participated in the work on the monument. The monument was made in Nizhny Tagil and delivered to Perm on May 27, 2003. It was intended to become the central part of a historical and architectural composition reflecting key moments in the history of Perm.

The installation of the monument took place on June 11, 2003, in honor of the 280th anniversary of Perm. The bronze figure of Tatischev, four meters tall, depicts him in a flowing cloak holding a plan of the Yegoshikha factory. The pedestal, faced with polished red granite, is 4.5 meters high. The composition is complemented by a granite stepped base, on which two mortars and cast-iron cannonballs are placed.

There are plans for the redesign and landscaping of the area around the monument.
