The Taras Shevchenko monument, dedicated to the Ukrainian poet, was opened in 1980 in Krasnodar. It is located at the intersection of Shevchenko Street and one of the city's main transport arteries, Stavropolskaya Street.

This monument is the work of Ivan Petrovich Shmagun, a renowned monumental sculptor. In addition to the bust of Shevchenko, Shmagun created many other monuments in Krasnodar and other cities.

The Taras Shevchenko monument in Krasnodar is recognized as a cultural heritage site of the Russian Federation.
