The monument to Saint Mitrophan of Voronezh is a bronze sculpture depicting this outstanding spiritual educator and the first bishop of Voronezh. It is located in Voronezh, in the May Day Garden, opposite the Annunciation Cathedral. The authors of the monument are sculptors I. P. Dikunov and E. N. Pak, as well as architect V. P. Shevelev. Sculptors A. I. and M. I. Dikunov also participated in creating individual elements.

Saint Mitrophan was appointed bishop of Voronezh by Patriarch Joachim in 1682, becoming the first bishop of the new diocese. He was known for his statecraft and authority among the people, renowned for many good deeds. Mitrophan was an associate of Peter I in the establishment of the Russian Navy. In 1832, he was canonized.

The idea of creating the monument belongs to Metropolitan Metodiy of Voronezh and Lipetsk and arose in connection with the 380th anniversary of Mitrophan's birth and the 300th anniversary of his death, celebrated in 2003. The monument was solemnly unveiled on May 23, 2003, as part of the celebration of Slavic Writing and Culture Day.

The 6-meter tall sculpture is installed on a pedestal faced with black granite. The total height of the monument is 8.5 meters. The saint is depicted in the act of blessing his flock, with a staff in his left hand, symbolizing spiritual authority. Above his head is a halo, indicating holiness. The figure is surrounded by four angels standing on bronze spheres. One angel holds an open book, reminding of the saint's role in enlightening the people, another holds a small ship, symbolizing his involvement in the creation of the navy. The third angel holds a model of the Peter and Paul Fortress, symbolizing Peter I's blessing for the construction of St. Petersburg. The fourth angel with a spear symbolizes the struggle between good and evil.

Bronze plaques are affixed to the pedestal. The front side features an Orthodox cross and the inscription: "To Saint Mitrophan, the first bishop of Voronezh." On the back side, there is a plaque with the inscription: "Erected in memory of the 300th anniversary of the repose of Saint Mitrophan by the care of His Eminence Metodiy, Metropolitan of Voronezh and Lipetsk, in the year of our Lord 2003." On the right side, a bas-relief depicts Peter I's blessing for the construction of the fleet, while on the left, the consecration of a warship by Mitrophan.
