The sculptural composition 'Hunting Family' is one of the most popular places in Khanty-Mansiysk, both among locals and tourists. It is located near the international airport. At night, the monument is illuminated with colorful lights, creating a picturesque view.

This composition reflects the everyday life and customs of the local peoples. It depicts a man sitting on a sled, his wife, and a child. Nearby are reindeer and a dog, a faithful friend to humans. All figures are life-sized and made of bronze.

The author of the monument has successfully conveyed the atmosphere of the past. The Khanty and Mansi peoples are indigenous to the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs. The first settlements of these peoples in the territory of Yugra date back to the first millennium AD. Their main activities include fishing, hunting, and gathering wild plants.

The installation of the 'Hunting Family' monument was timed to coincide with the founding day of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Yugra, and the new year of 2007. The author of this composition is Moscow artist and member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation Andrey Nikolayevich Kovalchuk.
