In April 2016, one of the most charming sculptures, "Plumber with a Cat," appeared in Rostov-on-Don. This bronze monument, created by local sculptor Mikhail Ushakov, is installed on the pedestrian part of Soborny Lane. According to the author, the sculpture represents a collective image of a plumber who brings warmth to homes, symbolized by the cat and the radiator.

The two-meter sculpture depicts a young, strong man in a shirt unbuttoned to the waist, holding a wrench. Next to him, a fluffy cat comfortably warms itself on the radiator.

The idea and its embodiment are clear to every viewer without words. Fluffy cats are associated with warmth and home comfort, while modern radiators serve as its material embodiment. What could be a better symbol of the hearth than a cat on the windowsill? As a result, the massive bronze composition looks unexpectedly cozy and homely. It has become a popular spot for photographs.
