In the Pushkin Park, located at the intersection of Pushkin and Haji Beka streets in Baku, there stands a monument to the famous Russian poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin. This monument was created by the Russian sculptor Orekhov and is the last work of the master, who was a member of the Academy of Arts of Russia.

The composition was presented to the residents of Baku in October 2001 as a gift from the Russian government to Azerbaijan in honor of the country's independence anniversary. The solemn opening ceremony, symbolizing the friendship between the two countries, was attended by the President of Azerbaijan, the Mayor of Baku, the Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, and other officials.

Every year on the poet's birthday, fans of his talent gather at his monument. On this day, events dedicated to Pushkin's life and work take place in the park, involving both representatives of the city's artistic elite and ordinary residents of Baku.
