In the village of Divnomorsk, a monument was unveiled in honor of the 700th anniversary of the birth of St. Sergius of Radonezh. The figure of the saint was installed near the House of Culture, where all important events and activities take place.

The monument, including the pedestal, reaches a height of four meters. It was created by Mikhail Serdyukov, the head of the sculpture workshop. For this work, the Bishop of Novorossiysk and Gelendzhik, Theognost, awarded him an archiepiscopal certificate, as reported by the press service of the regional administration.

It is noteworthy that the 700th anniversary of the saint's birth is being widely celebrated this year. Divine services and processions are taking place in every village and stanitsa of the region.
