Monument to St. Seraphim of Sarov in Belgorod

A monument to St. Seraphim of Sarov, an Orthodox saint, has appeared in Belgorod. The sculpture, made of bronze and granite, is installed on the grounds of the church dedicated to this saint.

This sculptural composition, dedicated to the Russian saint and miracle worker, is located near the church of St. Seraphim of Sarov. Next to it stands a memorial cross in honor of the victims of the Armenian genocide of 1915.

The name of St. Seraphim of Sarov is known throughout the Orthodox world. The popular veneration of the saint began long before his canonization. St. Seraphim of Sarov was the patron of the Diveyevo convent and, according to his life, possessed the gift of foresight and healing.
