On August 1, 1998, a monument to Seraphim of Sarov was unveiled in the Root Monastery, created by sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov. This event coincided with the day of the discovery of the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov.
The monument is located in the central part of the monastery. St. Seraphim visited this monastery multiple times, and at the age of ten, he was healed from a serious illness thanks to the miraculous icon "The Sign" of the Kursk Root, after which the monastery was founded.
