In the center of Yaroslavl, on Sobinov Street, an unusual monument in the shape of a lost wallet appeared at the end of May 2018. This life-sized object, placed on the asphalt, is unlikely to evoke negative thoughts. Although reality may bring its own adjustments, for now, it delights many residents of the city. The wallet, created by a blacksmith and artist, looks remarkably realistic. It is installed under surveillance cameras in a corner, in a 'dead zone', so that it is not disturbed by pedestrians, bicycles, and strollers. Passersby often try to pick it up, momentarily stopping in confusion, and then, realizing it is a monument, begin to smile.
