On September 16, 2011, a monument to the holy patrons of marriage and family, Peter and Fevronia of Murom, was unveiled in the Rostov Revolution Park. The bronze composition was created by the renowned Rostov sculptor, Honored Artist of Russia Anatoly Sknarin. This monument is one of many established in over ten cities across Russia and is greatly cherished by Orthodox believers.

The sculptor captured in bronze a moment from the distant 13th century when the Murom prince Peter gifted a ring to the daughter of a beekeeper, Fevronia, symbolizing the union of their fates. The bronze figures of the saints are set on a granite pedestal, with the image of the Mother of God above them. The Virgin Mary, gazing down from the clouds, reminds us that marriages are made in heaven.
