Monument to Mitrofan Pyatnitsky in Voronezh

Фото 1
The monument to M. E. Pyatnitsky was unveiled on September 17, 1988, in a small square next to the Officers' House. It was created by the renowned Voronezh sculptors Ivan Dikunov and Elza Pak.

The monument is a bust set on a round column and a low granite arch. On the semicircle made of red Karelia granite, there are musical instruments crafted from bronze, such as a harmonica and a balalaika. Behind the granite semicircle, birch trees are planted, symbolizing the female choir members of the Pyatnitsky Choir and beautifully complementing the landscape composition of the square.

Street chess players often gather near the monument.
