The monument to Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov in Sochi is located in the park of the International Innovative University. It was unveiled on September 9, 2011, in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding scientist.

Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov was the first Russian naturalist of global significance, as well as a historian and poet. His name has become one of the symbols of science and culture in Russia. Lomonosov's birthday is included in the UNESCO calendar of commemorative dates, and 2011 was declared the International Year of Lomonosov.

The sculpture, cast in bronze and standing 2.5 meters tall, is mounted on a massive pedestal. A quote from A. S. Pushkin about Lomonosov is engraved in gold letters on the pedestal.
