In the village of Kholki, Chernyansky District, Belgorod Region, a monument to Prince Svyatoslav Igorevich has been erected, representing a monumental sculpture of the great prince of Kiev on horseback. The work was created by sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov. The monument was unveiled in November 2005 in honor of the 1040th anniversary of Prince Svyatoslav's victory over the Khazar Khaganate, which led to the liberation of Rus from the Khazar yoke and the strengthening of the alliance of Slavic tribes.

The prince is depicted on a war horse, above a defeated Khazar who is trying to defend himself with a shield. In Svyatoslav's right hand, a sword is raised. He is clad in battle armor, and his shaved head is adorned with a tuft of hair, symbolizing noble lineage. The image of the prince emphasizes his determination and a life full of military campaigns. The height of the monument is 13 meters, with 6.5 meters attributed to the pedestal and the same amount to the sculpture.

On the pedestal, a bas-relief depicts Russian warriors in battle with enemies. The memorial plaque bears the inscription: "To the great prince of Kiev Svyatoslav the Brave, from grateful descendants." The name of the author, Vyacheslav Mikhailovich Klykov, is also indicated.

The creation of the monument was accompanied by public resonance. It was initially planned to be installed in Belgorod, but due to protests from the Federation of Jewish Communities of Russia and the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress regarding the depiction of the Star of David on the shield of the defeated Khazar, the unveiling was postponed. Ultimately, the monument was installed in Kholki, and the Star of David was covered with a metal patch. The symbol "kolovrat" remained on the prince's shield.

On October 15, 2005, another monument to Prince Svyatoslav, also by Vyacheslav Klykov, was unveiled in Zaporizhzhia opposite the island of Khortytsia. Here, the prince is depicted on foot, with a raised sword, symbolizing the passing of arms to descendants. Svyatoslav did not perish at Khortytsia but at the rapids of the Dnieper in battle against the Pechenegs. In the imperial times, a memorial plaque was installed at the site of his death.
