The monument to Saint Blessed Grand Prince Alexander Nevsky, who is the heavenly patron of Stary Oskol, is located in the Park of Military Glory on Lenin Street.

The monument is made of bronze and granite, and was created by Anatoly Shishkov. The unveiling took place on September 12, 2010, on City Day. This date is significant as on September 12, 1724, the relics of Alexander Nevsky were transferred from Vladimir to St. Petersburg. In the Russian Empire, this day was celebrated in the northern capital with great pomp.
