On July 12, 2020, the day of remembrance for the holy apostles Peter and Paul, Metropolitan Isidor of Ekaterinodar and Kuban consecrated the monument to the holy righteous prince Alexander Nevsky. The monument is located near the church named in his honor on Krasnaya Street in Krasnodar.
The monument was installed on April 14, 2020, but its opening had to be postponed due to restrictions related to the coronavirus pandemic. The bronze sculpture weighs 3 tons and stands 6.4 meters tall; it was made at the Rostov foundry "Brothers Kostevi."
The author of the monument is Sergey Mikhailovich Isakov, a distinguished artist of the Russian Federation, an academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, and a full member of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society, while the architect was Sergey Sergeevich Isakov.
