Ivan Poddubny is undoubtedly one of the outstanding figures associated with the Krasnodar region. In the city of Yeisk, in the park named after him, there are the grave, memorial complex-monument, and museum of this great wrestler and strongman, Ivan Maximovich Poddubny.
The monument to I.M. Poddubny is located in Yeisk, in the park named after him, between the museum and the grave. This complex has a circular shape and resembles a circus ring, in the center of which stands a life-sized bronze sculpture of Ivan Poddubny. The author of the sculpture is Moscow sculptor Mikhail Plokhotsky. On the inner side of the ring's fence, the inscription "Ivan Maximovich Poddubny" is engraved, while on the outer side, it reads, "To the Champion of Champions in honor of the 140th anniversary of his birth in the year of Russian classical wrestling from grateful followers. 2011 year." The sculptor of the monument, Plokhotsky M.M., and the architects, Bezverkhiy S.D. and Lyagin A.I.
