The bronze monument to I. I. Shishkin rises on a high pedestal at the intersection of Shishkin and Naberezhnaya streets. Its unveiling took place in October 1991. Sculptor Yu. Orekhov created this monument, depicting Ivan Ivanovich in full height. In one hand, he holds brushes, and in the other, a picture frame. His gaze is directed towards the natural beauty of Yelabuga, towards the Shishkin ponds and the Toyma River. Interestingly, behind the monument, in an old wooden house, is the children's art school named after Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin, where young artists can draw inspiration from the great master.
