In 1903, a monument to I. P. Gorich was erected in Ochakov at the intersection of Kutuzov Street, now known as the 50th Anniversary of October Avenue, and Gorich Street, now known as Schmidt Street. The monument was destroyed during the Stalin era but was restored in 1978. On each side of the monument, metal plaques are affixed with inscriptions:

on the first, main one, "To Brigade Commander Gorich from grateful Ochakov residents";

on the second, "The fearless hero Brigade Commander Gorich, who marked his service with selfless bravery, was the first to enter the bastion and perished";

on the third, "To the warriors who served the Fatherland in the Turkish War of 1787, 1791";

on the fourth, "In memory of the feat of Brigade Commander Ivan Petrovich Gorich. Unveiled in 1903."
