The monument to Gennady Alexandrovich Pushkin was unveiled on November 26, 2003, in Tula, in front of the arms factory, next to the monument to Peter the Great, which was erected before the revolution.

Gennady Alexandrovich Pushkin was a renowned master gunsmith and a lathe operator, twice awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor. He was a distinguished veteran of the Tula Arms Factory, where he began working at the age of 16. Pushkin was awarded the Star of the Hero of Socialist Labor, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, two Orders of Lenin, and many medals.
