On the 150th anniversary of the invention of radio, on May 12, 1945, a monument to the Russian physicist and inventor Alexander Stepanovich Popov was unveiled in Kronstadt. The author of the monument is sculptor Viktor Sergeyevich Chabotyrev. The sculpture is a bust 1.2 meters tall, placed on a pedestal 2.5 meters high, totaling about four meters.

The monument to Popov remains open and is located in a small square between the 'Minikh House' and the building of the former Mine Officer Class.
