On the pedestal of the bust of Alexander Nevsky, solemnly opened on December 6, 2011, at the temple of the Kuban Cossack Army on Postovaya Street in Krasnodar, the words are inscribed: "Nevsky Alexander Yaroslavovich. Prince of Novgorod since 1236. Grand Prince of Vladimir since 1252. Russian commander." The opening of the monument was timed to coincide with the day of Alexander Nevsky, celebrated in Kuban.

The pedestal also bears the phrase: "Not in strength, but in truth," attributed to Alexander Nevsky. This simple yet profound thought can inspire people to serve their homeland.

Historically, Alexander Nevsky is considered the patron of the Russian military, which explains the construction of the Cossack cathedral in his honor. The image of the saint is present on the banner of the Kuban Cossack Army, presented to the Army in January of this year and consecrated by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia in the Assumption Cathedral of the Moscow Kremlin. It is now kept in the military cathedral in Krasnodar.

As part of the "Alley of Glory" program, five monuments have already been installed in Krasnodar: to Lomonosov, Stolypin, Gagarin, Suvorov, and Alexander Nevsky. All of them were created by the master from Rostov-on-Don, Mikhail Serdyukov, whose works are known throughout Russia.
