The monument to the heroes of I.S. Turgenev's story 'Bezhin Meadow' is located by the pier on the banks of the Oka River. The monument was unveiled in 1983 and was originally situated on the central alley leading to the gates of the City Park of Culture and Recreation. In the 1990s, the sculpture was moved to its current location.
