On September 10, 2015, a monument to the outstanding Russian naval commander and Orthodox saint Admiral Fyodor Fyodorovich Ushakov was unveiled in Kronstadt. This remarkable monument is located in Anchor Square, in a small park near the Naval Cathedral. During the solemn consecration, a reliquary containing a particle of the relics of the righteous Fyodor Ushakov was presented to the church.
The monument is a bronze sculpture of the admiral in full height, set on a granite pedestal. The author of this work is sculptor Vladimir Gorevoy. A descendant of the admiral, Alexander Ushakov, attended the unveiling and presented the church with a copy of the Port Arthur icon of the Mother of God.
