Monument to A.V. Suvorov in Leningradskaya

Фото 1
The monument to Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov was erected in the stanitsa of Leningradskaya in 1997. The sculpture was created by R.Kh. Muradyan. The monument is located by the shore in a small park at the intersection of Lenin and Naberezhnaya streets.

Suvorov played an important role in the creation of the Kuban fortifications. His military career later took him to Germany, Moldova, Poland, Italy, and Switzerland. Suvorov wrote that he was sent to Switzerland to be eliminated, referring to Paul I. However, as history shows, despite all the intrigues, Suvorov managed to avoid death. In September 1799, Russian troops, overcoming incredible difficulties, broke out of encirclement.
