Monument to A.S. Pushkin in Tuapse

In the early 1960s, a monument to Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin was unveiled in Tuapse at Ilyich Square. It is located at the entrance to the city park and harmoniously blends with the surrounding blooming plants and trees.

At that time, sculptures were being actively installed across the country. By order from Moscow, monuments to great Russian writers were to appear in Russian cities, as well as in large villages, stanitsas, and settlements, for the purpose of aesthetic education. In Tuapse, the Pushkin monument was delivered already completed and installed at the entrance to the park.
