The sculptural composition depicts the poet at the moment when he is visited by the Muse. The pedestal is made of polished red granite, sourced from the famous Dymkovskoye deposit, while the figure of A.S. Pushkin is cast in bronze.

The total height of the composition is six meters, of which about two meters is the pedestal. The total weight of the monument is 1200 kg. The creation took place at the Polytechnic Institute of St. Petersburg.

Every year on June 6, the birthday of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin, admirers of his work gather at the monument to read their favorite poems and lay flowers. For the residents of Surgut, the monument has become a significant place and a symbol of the library.
