The monument to A.S. Pushkin in Stary Oskol was unveiled on June 6, 1999, on the poet's birthday. It is made of stone and is located in the park of the Korolev microdistrict. The monument was designed by St. Petersburg architect Ilya Lesov, and the sculptor is Akhnaf Ziyakaev.

The monument depicts Pushkin from the waist up, with his arms crossed over his chest and a gaze directed into the distance, as if he is contemplating a new work.

Next to the monument, there are picturesque flowerbeds, a fountain is in operation, benches are installed, and the flowers in the pots are a delight to the eye. This is one of the favorite leisure spots for the residents of Stary Oskol.

City events also take place here: Pushkin readings, meetings of poets and bards, folklore concerts, and celebrations of Slavic culture and literacy.
