Фото 1
Until June 6, 2001, the Pushkin monument in Burgas was the only one in Bulgaria, until a new monument dedicated to the author of "Eugene Onegin" appeared in Sofia.

The monument to Alexander Sergeyevich in Sofia is located in the city center, in the garden of the Russian Embassy Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The bronze sculpture was created by Russian sculptor Vyacheslav Klykov in collaboration with Bulgarian architect Svyatoslav Konstantinov. The poet's bust, made on a pro bono basis, is set on a high pedestal of black granite with an inscription in gold letters: "A.S. Pushkin. 1799-1837." The monument was unveiled on June 6, 2001, in honor of the 202nd anniversary of the poet's birth.
