The monument to A.S. Pushkin in Sochi is located near the oldest city library named after the poet. The monument was unveiled on May 27, 2012, in honor of the library's 100th anniversary.

It took only six months to create the monument, and it was designed by Sochi sculptor and director of the Art Museum P. Khrisanov.

The bronze sculpture of the poet, about two meters tall, is installed without a massive pedestal, and only a red granite slab slightly raises it above the sidewalk. A.S. Pushkin is depicted in a relaxed pose, leaning on a decorative pedestal.

Near the monument, fans of the poet's work planted an oak sapling, which has become the library's talisman.
