In Montreal, Canada, in the province of Quebec, a monument to Pushkin was unveiled on December 6, 2002. It is located in the cozy courtyard of the Orthodox Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul, one of the oldest parishes of the American Orthodox Church, whose history dates back to the Alaskan Russian Orthodox Mission of the late 18th century.

The monument was inaugurated as part of the Seventh International Arts Festival "Maple Leaves." It is a gift from the sculptor to the city of Montreal and the entire Russian-speaking community. The author of the monument noted that he used forging and welding techniques, aiming to create the effect of Pushkin being illuminated by light.

The bust is made of small steel pieces and has undergone special galvanic treatment, giving it a glow. Vitaly Gambarov's sculpture received high praise from the artistic community of St. Petersburg. After winning the "Master Class" competition, it stood for several months at the Russian Museum and three months in the Summer Garden, absorbing the atmosphere of Pushkin's Petersburg. The monument is placed on a pedestal made of the same stone as the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul.
