The monument to Alexey Danilovich Bezkovny in Anapa was unveiled on September 14, 1999, thanks to the support of the Cossack community. The opening of the monument was timed to coincide with the 170th anniversary of the Treaty of Adrianople. Due to the lack of accurate data about Bezkovny's appearance, the image of the monument was created based on several sources. The sculptor was V.P. Polyakov, and the architect was Y.V. Rysin.

The monument is located in the central part of the resort, near the Embankment and the 30th Anniversary of Victory Park. Nearby is a monument of 18th-century Ottoman military architecture known as the 'Russian Gates.' The bust of Alexey Bezkovny is a popular site for tourists and locals, and no state celebration passes without laying flowers at its base.

On a rectangular pedestal 2.4 meters high is the bust of the Cossack ataman in a Circassian coat with epaulettes and a papakha. At the base of the pedestal are four symmetrical plinths with beveled edges. The side plinths feature reliefs of the Order of St. George the Victorious and the Order of St. Vladimir.

On the front side of the pedestal is inscribed: 'Bezkrovny Alexey Danilovich (1785-1833), Major General, acting ataman of the Black Sea Cossack Army.' He was a loyal servant of the Tsar, an impeccable son of the Motherland, and a glorious ataman of his native army, as noted by N.I. Vishnevetsky.

On the reverse side of the monument, it states: 'Participant in 13 wars and 100 battles. Distinguished at Borodino on August 26, 1812. Participated in battles near Bautzen, Leipzig, at Etenal, Sedan, Provins, Omelyon. Awarded the Orders of St. Vladimir, St. Anna. The military talent and courage of A.D. Bezkovny, commander of the Taman Cossack detachment, played a decisive role during the siege of the fortress of Anapa. For the capture of Anapa, he was awarded the Order of St. George of the 4th degree.'

Alexey Danilovich Bezkovny was an outstanding military figure in Russia, who rose from a simple Cossack to an ataman. He participated in 13 wars and more than 100 battles, including the famous Battle of Borodino.
