In honor of the 300th anniversary of the fleet, a rostral column has been installed in Admiralty Square in Voronezh. The design of the square was developed by architect A.I. An in the workshop of the city's chief artist A.M. Yanovsky.

The monument was opened in 1996. Unlike the columns in St. Petersburg, this column is slimmer, and its rostrums are less massive, giving it a special elegance and beauty. It has adorned the city's embankment for over ten years.

Although the admiralty, from which warships of Russia were launched in the 17th-18th centuries, no longer exists, the memory of those glorious Peter the Great times is preserved by the thirty-meter column in Voronezh. This slender white spire stands out against the blue sky, reminding us of the 215 ships, many of which could compete with European warships.
