Фото 1
The Ozinsky Local History Museum, opened in 1998, is dedicated to the history of the native land from ancient times. Its exhibitions feature minerals from the Ozinsky land, samples of flora and fauna, household items, as well as photographs and documents telling the stories of famous and respected people from the region.

The museum has permanent exhibitions reflecting various historical periods. Here you can see the remains of marine animals, tools, and stone arrowheads and spearheads of Neanderthals who lived in this area 60-70 years BC, as well as household items from the early and mid-20th century. Separate exhibitions are dedicated to the Civil War and V.I. Chapaev, who fought against the White Guards in 1918, the Great Patriotic War with documents and photographs of veterans, internationalist soldiers, and other events.

Recently, the museum completed a large-scale renovation, increasing its area and occupying a two-level space. Visitors are presented with updated exhibitions featuring new exhibits.

The first hall to greet guests is the Hall of Military Glory with unique materials about the participation of locals in the Civil, Great Patriotic, Afghan, and Chechen wars. A mini-tour of the hall was conducted by museum methodologist N.E. Bogdanova, while combat participant S.B. Aibulatov performed original songs on the guitar.

The exhibition in the Glory Room of the district internal affairs department has also been updated, being unique in the region. Boys were particularly attracted to documents on the history of the Ozinsky ROVD, awards, confiscated weapons, and samples of police uniforms.

The exhibition in the local history hall impresses with its originality and completeness of materials. Here you can see a Russian izba with household items, photographs of the landowner Ovchinnikov's family, a showcase with images and models of local flora and fauna, a stand dedicated to the development of virgin lands, and much more that helps to understand the history of the region more deeply.

In the hall of Kazakh culture, items of national clothing and household items are presented. A new exhibition of paintings by Ozinsky artists and works by students from the art department of the children's school of arts has opened in the museum's exhibition hall.

The museum actively collaborates with public and religious organizations. Joint events with the Council of Veterans of War and Labor of the Ozinsky District, the Council of Veterans of Law Enforcement Agencies, and district branches of the all-Russian organizations "Combat Brotherhood" and "Union of Chernobyl Victims" have become a tradition.

The museum conducts extensive work on patriotic education for youth and the preservation of the military and labor achievements of the Ozinsky District. Meetings are held between schoolchildren and lyceum students with rear workers, participants of local wars, border guards, Chernobyl disaster liquidators, and first virgin land cultivators.
