The building at Internationalnaya, 11 A, constructed in the late 19th to early 20th century, belonged to burgher E.E. Polyakova. It is designed in an eclectic style and built of red brick, featuring three and a half floors.
The facade is adorned with stucco in the form of medical bowls or apothecary mortars between the windows, which likely indicates the original owners' connection to pharmacy. Notably, during the Soviet era, this building housed a maternity hospital for some time.
Currently, the building is abandoned, and work is underway nearby to clear the area for new construction. Local residents are concerned that Polyakova's house may be demolished.
