One of the main attractions of Sobornaya (Sovetskaya) Street in Rostov-on-Don is the pre-revolutionary mansion built by Kerop Baliev in the late 19th century. Before the revolution, Baliev lived in this house with his family. After the establishment of Soviet power, the beautiful three-story building was requisitioned and remains state-owned to this day. Currently, the former Baliev mansion houses the administration of the Proletarsky District of Rostov-on-Don, and the building itself is included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance.
