One of the architectural heritage monuments of pre-revolutionary Rostov-on-Don is the mansion of Yegor Krasilnikov, built in the last quarter of the 19th century in the then-popular eclectic style. The only owner of the mansion during the pre-revolutionary period was the Don merchant Yegor Minaevich Krasilnikov, who commissioned the construction of this house.

The main facade of the one-story building faces 1st Sofievskaya Street, now known as 1st May Street. The central part of the facade is elevated and adorned with an attic, while four-sided domes are located at the corners. The building is richly decorated with stucco and plaster, featuring elements of Baroque and Renaissance in its design. Among the decorative elements, one can see brackets, panels, friezes, garlands, female heads, Hermes masks, pilasters, and archivolts. The layout of the building is corridor-style, with one-sided and two-sided room arrangements. In its time, the mansion hosted luxurious balls and business receptions.

Yegor Krasilnikov was a successful merchant and often ordered live music, for which a gallery with a balustrade was built, adjacent to the living part of the house. Along the facade on 18th Line were the bedroom, children's rooms, study, and other premises. The basement housed utility rooms: kitchen, laundry, and rooms for servants, while the yard contained outbuildings.

After the arrival of Soviet power in 1922, the building was confiscated and gradually fell into disrepair. Since 1976, the renovated building has housed a women's consultation center. On March 29, 2015, a fire broke out in the building, which was extinguished, preventing its destruction. Currently, the mansion has the status of a cultural heritage site of regional significance.
