Nikita Church

Фото 1
Nikita Church in Vladimir, originally known as Pretechenskaya, was built in the 1760s by the Vladimir merchant Semyon Lazarev in honor of Saint Nikita the Stylite. This church became the prototype for the Trinity-Tikhvin Church, erected in Dmitrov, Moscow region. In 1938, the church was closed, and its building housed the Vladimir Experimental Scientific Restoration Workshop "Vladimir-restoration." In August 2015, the church was returned to the Vladimir Diocese and resumed operations.
