In the small homeland of the famous Nizhny Novgorod merchant N.A. Bugrov, an Old Believer complex has been preserved, built with his funds in the late 19th century. The construction became necessary when Old Believer schools no longer met the educational standards of the time. A new school was created where Old Believer children could receive a secular education without changing their faith. Initially, the school operated illegally, and teachers often faced attacks from the clergy and secular schools. However, after the relevant decree was issued, it began to function legally. According to the decree, only children of peasants from sixteen villages in the Semyonovsky district, where Old Belief predominated, could be educated, and the total number of students was not to exceed 120.

In addition to the school, the complex included a dormitory, a poorhouse, and various outbuildings. Currently, all of this is gradually deteriorating: almost nothing remains of the outbuildings, and in the former school building, the stairs and partitions between floors have partially collapsed. The roof has also significantly deteriorated.
