In the catalog "Monuments of History and Culture of the Vladimir Region," published in 1996, in the section "Monuments of the Alexandrov District" under number 299, it is stated: "Pillar chapel. Second half of the 19th century. Village of Slednevo. Ownerless. Not in use. Emergency condition." However, in reality, the chapel was built in 1904 with funds from the residents of the village of Slednevo and nearby settlements.

According to the "Vladimir Diocesan Gazette" for 1904, a peasant from the village of Romanovo in the Alexandrov district, Alexey Yefimiev Potapov, received a blessing from His Eminence for a donation of 438 rubles 90 kopecks for the construction of the chapel in the village of Slednevo, part of the parish of the village of Dolmatovo. Donations were also made by peasant Yakov Nikolaev Galkin from the village of Slednevo, hereditary honorary citizen Mikhail Ivanov Parunin, merchant Stefan Yefimiev Badaev, Alexandrov merchant Ivan Fedorov Sokolov, native of the Moscow province Maria Fedorovna Potapova from the village of Beketova, and Moscow merchant Nikolai Ivanov Shumilin. Potapov donated 62 rubles 76 kopecks for iron, Galkin 25 rubles, Semyonov 15 rubles, Parunin 15 rubles, Badaev 10 rubles, Sokolov 15 rubles, Potapova 5 rubles, and Shumilin 10 rubles. Peasant Fyodor Mikhailov Bolshov from the village of Slednevo made a significant contribution to the construction of the chapel, and the economist of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, Archimandrite Dosifei, donated an icon of Saint Tikhon of Amathus, valued at 400 rubles.

In 2002, with the blessing of Archbishop of Vladimir Evlogy and with the support of Father Dmitry from the Nikitsky Men's Monastery in the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky, under the guidance of village resident Boris Alexandrovich Rotar, the destroyed roadside chapel was restored. On December 29, 2002, the rector of the Church of the Bogolyubskaya Icon of the Mother of God, Archpriest Boris, consecrated the newly restored chapel.
